The US Army War College brought our family to Carlisle back in 1996. I grew up as an Army brat, along with my two brothers. Our family fell in love with Carlisle for many reasons and I’m so thankful for my parents’ decision to settle here. My years of studying ballet at CPYB led me to finishing high school and accomplishing a professional career in NYC. Ultimately, there is nothing like a love of one’s hometown and a marriage proposal to draw you back. Now I’m a social member with Carlisle Fire and Rescue #45, member at The Meeting House Church, and get to settle back down with my loved ones. In addition to the extensive heritage here, there is just so much that Carlisle has to offer. It draws in such a diverse group of people. I love that every day you can simply turn a corner and bump into an old friend or meet someone new with an exciting story. What I envision for the future of Carlisle is exactly what Color Carlisle is doing here. How fortunate we are to be surrounded by a wide variety of art in our community and I’d love to see even more of an effort to support our local artists.

I believe that what you’re doing is just this. Anything to bring the people of Carlisle together in meaningful ways is both beautiful and essential to strong community.” – Steph Chrosniak
