It’s very simple to me: Carlisle is a special place. I was born and raised here, and I truly believe that growing up here has provided with opportunities I would have never gotten anywhere else. From earning my pilot’s license at the local airport, to interning at the Army War College, to getting the opportunity to make a difference doing something I love here at the Appalachian Running Company, no place has had such a deep impact on my life. At college, I often heard people ragging on their hometowns, but I always bragged about mine instead! It’s amazing to me to have watched the community grow over the years without being cheapened, from the start of town farmer’s markets to the revitalization of downtown and its restaurant scene. All in all, there are very few things that I love more in life than running through downtown Carlisle on a crisp fall morning before the world is awake, and that’s something that I don’t think is ever going to change. No matter what, Carlisle will always be home! – Noah Reighard, Community Resident and Avid Runner (Noah just finished running in the Boston Marathon)
