“My wife is from Carlisle. She immigrated here when she was five. She went to school here, and went to college at Shippensburg, and we met. We actually had no intentions of living in Carlisle. We were actually looking at the Harrisburg area; in the mid 90s, Second Street was the rage. We ended up buying a house in Carlisle in ’98. We got married and we never left! Once I moved to Carlisle I realized how nice it was, especially the downtown. It just really gripped me. I like the fact that the buildings have been preserved. I’m a big history buff. I love walking down the street and you can see what the town was like 150 years ago. I mean George Washington stayed right down the street from here! There’s a lot of beauty to downtown Carlisle. We made it our home; it’s the best decision we ever made. We really love Carlisle; we always felt like we belong here. The community and the people really embraced us. It’s a great town.” – Chris and Terri Petsinis, North Hanover Grille
