I have lived in Carlisle for 15 years this fall. I’m a transplant; I’m originally from Vermont. When my husband and I finished graduate school, we relocated to Carlisle. And he’s Carlisle, born and bred. It feels like home now; it did take a while to get to that point, but now raising a family here it definitely feels like home. I love the small-town community feel. The longer I’ve been here now, I can go out in town and see people I know. There’s a lot of interconnection between people. There’s a lot for families to do around here. You have access to Baltimore and DC and Philly, but you still get that small town, safe, community to be raising your family in. – Liz Campbell
